Solgarve

This was an absolute gem! After a stressful year we needed a peaceful and soothing place. Solgarve did not disappoint. It is located in a quiet & peaceful area but only a 10 minutes walk away from the beachfront with the promenade, restaurants, bars and shops. The apartments were very clean & had everything we needed. We loved the spacious South facing balconies overlooking the pool area. The pool was lovely & warm & at no time was it ever too busy for me to swim laps up & down, and there were always enough sunbeds for anyone who wanted them. There is a small bar area where you can chill with a few beers & enjoy chats with Miguel or other guests. However what really made it so special was Miguel and his staff. We cannot praise them enough. From the minute we booked, Miguel set out to make it a pleasant and relaxed break for us, organising airport pick ups /drop off, and anything else we needed. We arrived at night, more than 2 hours late due to our plane breaking down. Miguel re-organised our airport pick up, and waited for us. He provided us with any information we might need and was so welcoming despite the late hour. Throughout our stay he made a point of connecting with everyone, chatting & telling us local stories & news and more. He is fluent in 4 languages making it easier for those of us with no Portuguese! We also want to give Edmundo & Diego, our taxi drivers, a shout out. Edmundo did the airport trips and was in touch with us even before we took off, with information about the current strike by handling crew and didn't seem to mind having to reschedule last minute, for our late arrival. He gave us lots of information on the area and was extremely pleasant & helpful. Diego was similarly kind & helpful. We would like to thank Miguel & his team, for providing us with such a great experience.

Absolutely fantastic apartment and swimming pool. Clean and tidy with room service every day. Miguel was fantastic and very helpful with information about travel plans and local things to do. I'm already missing chatting to him every morning. If I ever decide to come back to Quarteira, it's definitely to Solgarve and definitely for a minimum of 14 nights. All together, it was the best 10 nights of my life. Highly recommended for people who want a great place in Quarteira, not far from the beach and most importantly peaceful.

A very nice apartments, not crowded, good location close to the beach and supermarket, parking space, swimming pool, nice staff. Miguel was lovely, he gave us a warm welcome and all the info needed. We stayed in a one big bedroom apartment fully furnished, very clean. The staff came everyday to clean, empty the bins, and after two days to change the towels.

It’s far away from the main strip to be quiet with only a 20 minute walk to the beach. It’s kept very clean and there always seems to be room available around the pool. Nice little bar for beer, spirits, coffee & ice creams. By far and away the best thing about the hotel is Miguel, who works hard before arrival & during our stay to make things as perfect as possible.

Miguel was an amazing host. Anything needed he was there to help and such a lovely person too! Miguel & Samuel run a great place. The property was very clean. It had a lovely pool and was not too noisy also had air conditioning but because there was a nice air flow with the windows open at the back and balcony doors open it wasn’t always necessary to put the air conditioner on every day. Easy access to the beaches nearby walking 10-15 minutes. Local Lidl 10-15 mins also a laundry if needed 10-15 mins. For the other beaches in Vilamoura Ubers were really efficient always 2mins away.
